Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen died earlier this month at the age of 82 in his Los Angeles home. Since then, his death has sparked tributes with an array of covers of his famed song, "Hallelujah". One choir in St. John's gave their rendition of Cohen's classic earlier this week. Growing The Voices: Festival 500 was so thrilled with the amazing response to its 2nd Instant Choir! Just listen to the amazing sound of about 450 people singing in harmony. A singing experience for anyone and everyone, we gathered tonight on the main floor of Atlantic Place to remember Leonard Cohen and sing his beloved anthem - "Hallelujah". After 1.5 of rehearsals with song-leaders Julia Halfyard and Peter Halley, the crowd was ready to perform it live! Here is our performance of Hallelujah - by tonight's Instant Choir.
