The Memorial Sea-Hawks men's and women's basketball teams will search for the AUS Championship this weekend at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
The 6-seeded women will take on the 3-seeded Cape Breton Capers at 3:30 p.m. (NST) on Friday. The Capers are led by league MVP Alison Keough, who will be looking to earn a semi-final meeting with UNB on Saturday.
The Sea-Hawks lost both their meetings with Cape Breton in St. John's in November 76-71 and 82-71. Cape Breton finished the season 13-7 while Memorial finished the year 11-9. Here's how the teams compare statistically:

Meanwhile, the Seahawks men's basketball team enter AUS weekend with the 4-seed. Memorial will match-up with the Acadia Axemen at Scotiabank Centre in the first quarter-final at 7:00 p.m. (NST) on Friday. The winner will take on defending AUS champion Dalhousie in Saturday's semi-final.
The Seahawks closed out the regular season by splitting two games with the Axemen. Memorial lost the firs meeting 97-82 but bounced back with an 84-74 win in the second meeting. The tale of the tape:
