Mackenzie Stevenson, 21, has lived in a St. John's public housing unit since she was four years old. Now, she says the city is evicting her by Jan. 31 because her mother, the lease owner, died in November. (Mark Cumby/CBC)

The only home 21-year-old Mackenzie Stevenson has ever known is part of the St. John's non-profit housing division in Cowan Heights.
