A crane helped remove a City of St. John's garbage truck that had crashed through a retaining wall on Harvey Road Wednesday morning. (Danny Arsenault/CBC)

A City of St. John's garbage truck crashed through a retaining wall Wednesday morning on Harvey Road, leaving it partially hanging over the other side.

Police arrived to direct traffic while a crane worked to lift the truck back onto the street around 11 a.m. NT.

RNC Const. James Cadigan told CBC News there were no injuries.
