A picture of a polar bear in Newfoundland is getting some serious traction on social media. 

Jessica Andrews, the owner of Ocean View Photography in New-Wes-Valley, snapped over 200 photos of the polar bear including the ones where the polar bear is leaning against a cross. 

"When I edited them, I saw after that he was by the cross. This is the one that people were commenting on and saying that, 'He's praying,'" she said in a CBC News story.

While the bear could be deep in prayer, anyone who has been watching BBC's Planet Earth 2 knows that the bear could be just using the cross to scratch a bad itch.
