AUS and Bell Team Up For #BellLetsTalk

Bell has teamed up with Atlantic University Sport once again to decrease the stigma around mental illness for #BellLetsTalk day. On January 25th, 5 cents will be donated to mental health initiatives by Bell every time the #BellLetsTalk hashtag is used and for every call and text message from Bell users.

The AUS released a video in association with Bell where athletes from various universities talked about the stigma around mental health, including athletes from Memorial University in St. John's.

The Memorial University Seahawks have a tragic history with mental health, making the association with Bell all the more important. In 2014, Memorial's 20-year-old basketball star Jacob Ranton died in his hometown of Waterloo. The Record, his hometown newspaper, reported that Ranton took his own life

Universities across the country held #BellLetsTalk games leading up to January 25th and shared it on Twitter.
